he Model 1318 consists of individual glass plates for each place setting. The big increased central plate can be rotated in the version “Sechser“. The 1318-series is available in the versions “Sechser“, “Achter“ and “Zehner“. This table series is in accordance with the philosophical, psychological and sociological idea of modern narcissism of the individual in the lifestyle bath of the masses. People fend for themselves. They are selfsufficient, look for themselves and their needs, especially during a formal meal. It is, therefore, symbolic to separate the large table, shared by all, into individual areas and still further into individual functional areas. A traditional, general procedure has been defamiliarized and stylised to a new order. The pedestal of the 1318-series is made of MDF veneered and lacquered in black; the metal parts are in polished chrome.
