Marie-Aurore knows very well that we live in a society of overconsumption. In light of this she commits to only designing new objects which are honest and sustainable, and which bring sense to that which surrounds us.
Vivienne chair doesn't hide nothing of its construction and materials: solid beech for the structure of the base, perforated steel for the back, and the seat its a padded cushion.
Marie-Aurore tested the possibilities of the metal pressing/ folding machine there in 2007.
The metal of this chair becomes anthracite or red-stainedb solid beech. Intentionally oversized, it is a large part of the strong personality of the chair’s design. The back lightens and softens thanks to the perforation of the bronze or plomb-coloured steel. Finally, the (optional) padded seat in a choice of colours offers a comfortable welcome.
The Vivienne chair: comfortable, poetic and playful – but never frivolous!
Construction – Structure and base in anthracite or red-stained solid beech.
Back in bronze or plomb lacquered perforated sheet steel.
Comfort – Padded seat with integral upholstered seat cushion in high resilience polyurethane Bultex foam (50 kg/m3 – 6.3 kPa) clad in 110g/m2 polyester quilting.
Making-up – Baguette stitch detailing. Seat has removable cover.
Covering materials – Exclusively available in Steelcut
