Éric Jourdan particularly likes to rejuvenate items of furniture which have proved their worth, pieces which have been valued since time immemorial. At first sight, what could be more banal, more obvious than a low round table or a little round pedestal? A round top, four legs, and there you have it!
And yet, it was by following this hackneyed recipe to the letter that Éric Jourdan has been able to gratify us with a mini-collection of occasional furniture which is chic and glamorous, classic and yet very current.
A fervent believer in timeless modernity, he designed them using ultra-simple and yet highly expressive lines.
The top in grey smoked glass brings an elegant sobriety which contrasts with the bronze finish of the four legs which themselves are discreet, very slim, almost frail. The rigorous minimalist construction marries with a pair of discreetly luxurious materials which flirt with the arty spirit of the gallery or high-end decoration: and the end result, two small, precious and infinitely seductive pieces.
Structure and base in bronze lacquered steel.
Top in 10 mm thick toughened grey smoked glass with flat polished edges.
