Cloud is formed by the layering of five thin acrylic sheets cut into amoeba–like shapes. The circular holes cut into the sheets create an empty space where the light source is placed. The shape of the sheets, their layering and the discontinuity of the matter evoke the transparency, the material inconsistency and the formal changeability of a cloud. The search for a new fluid physicality on the borderline between the real and the virtual, like all of Ito’s architectures.
